Jeri Cramblitt, ME.d., RYT, Director

Jeri Cramblitt, is the owner and director of The Davidsonville Yoga Center. She is an Affiliated Anusara Teacher and a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. She is a member of CYTA and MAYA. Jeri is deeply dedicated to the practice and teaching of Anusara Principles. She continues to study with and is greatly influenced by her primary teacher, John Friend, Founder of Anusara Yoga. A public school teacher for twenty years, Jeri holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education/Special Education and a Master's Degree in Education. She is the published author of three articles, Yoga and Women, Yoga for Menopause, and The Benefits of Yoga. Jeri conducts trainings and loves to share what she has learned with beginning students and budding teachers. Jeri brings enthusiasm, compassion, joy, humor, and loving-kindness to her teaching. Jeri is grateful to her family who sacrificed at times so she could follow her heart.

     
   

Linda Foster

Linda is a longtime student of Jeri Cramblitt and continues to apprentice with her and considers Jeri to be her inspiration. Linda attributes much of her love of yoga to John Friend and continues to study with him. She has served the Federal Government for 34 years and is looking forward to retirement and teaching yoga full time. Linda received her Anusara Teacher Training at Willow Street Yoga Center and is working toward her 200 hour Yoga Alliance Registration. Linda feels that yoga has changed her life and wants to share the joy and contentment that she has found to her students along with a wacky sense of fun. She enjoys sailing with her husband Calvin on their ketch "Capstone", growing Bonzai trees, creating art and reading science fiction.

     
 

Julia Deyo Gibb, RYT

Julia has been teaching yoga for four years. She is a creative and compassionate teacher who loves to approach the asanas (postures) in new ways and with a fresh attitude. She has studied with many local and internationally renowned teachers, and especially draws inspiration from studying with Angela Farmer and Victor van Kooten. Julia is certified as a Kripalu DansKinetics instructor through Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, and is also a certified yoga instructor in the Anusara tradition through the Willow Street Yoga Center Teacher Training Program.

     
 

Kathy James

Kathy is a certified yoga instructor in Integrative Yoga Therapy, a method of yoga that specializes in health and healing. Her classes are based on a vision of health as a Unity of body, mind and spirit. Kathy encourages her students to use their practice as a vehicle for self-expression and self-awareness.

Kathy started practicing yoga in 1999. Since then she has integrated yoga into her daily life as a resource for personal growth, healing and awakening. After attending a women’s yoga and meditation retreat in San Diego she knew she wanted to pass on the benefits of yoga to others.

Her mentors are yoga instructors, Randi Botnick and Jeff Crespi, her son Clint, who has inspired her and is also a certified yoga instructor, and Sosha Devi and Diane Finlayson of Yama Studio in Baltimore where she received her certification. “Yoga gives us a focused mind, strong body, and vibrant spirit.”

She is also certified in the Sekhem-Seichim Reiki Method of Universal Healing. Kathy worked in the travel industry for many years and has traveled extensively. She also holds a degree in Paralegal Studies.

     
 

Lori Langley

Lori is a biology teacher and certified Pilates instructor. She received her certification through The Physicalmind Institute at The Body College in Washington, D.C. in March 2002. Since becoming certified Lori has taught Pilates classes at several local gyms and has participated in many Pilates workshops at The Chesapeake Yoga Center. In addition to strengthening your core and making you look leaner, Lori feels Pilates is essential in achieving complete balance and muscular harmony.

     
 

Odessa Morton

Odessa became an active participant in physical fitness in 1969 shortly after the President's Council on Physical Fitness released its report on the benefits of exercise. Since then she has been involved in the fitness industry off and on throughout the years and has taught at Anne Arundel Community College, Anne Arundel Medical Center, and many of the local health clubs. Odessa has certifications in kickboxing from Thomas The Promise Enterprises and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, (AFAA); Certifications in group fitness exercise, mat science, and step from AFAA; Reebok University Flexible Strength Yoga Certification, and Yogafit Level I and Level 2 Certifications. She teaches strength training, step, Hi/Lo, Interval Cross Training, Kickboxing, and all levels of yoga. Odessa also works as an examiner for AFAA, one of the most well known and prestigious fitness certification agencies in the country.

     
 

Ann Moore

Ann Moore, MS-CCC, is a speech-language pathologist and yoga instructor. Ann was first introduced to Hatha yoga at the Valley School of Dance Shakti Yoga Center in 1995 by Jacqueline McCausland and Angela Caplan. In 2000, she began studying and apprenticing in the Anusara Tradition. She is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Ann has ten years of experience in working with adults and children with neurological, developmental, and learning disabilities, including two years in long-care facility. She loves breath work and meditation. She has had the honor of meditating with the Dali Lama and Thich Nhat Han. Her primary yoga influence is John Friend and she has been inspired by Angela Farmer. She has an innovative approach for students of all ages with exceptional challenges, combining her love of yoga with her extensive clinical background.

     
 

Sue Schmitt, CPT, RYT

Sue began her yoga journey in 1999. She is an Anusara Affiliated Teacher, a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance, and a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer through ACE (American Academy of Exercise). She, along with her husband, own Annapolis Body Care, a fitness, health and massage business in Annapolis. Sue combines her love of working with people, her 20+ years in the health and fitness profession with her studies of yoga to bring a safe, alignment based and joyful yoga experience to her students.

     
 

Cristina Seckman, RYT

Cristina completed her teacher training in Vinyasa/Flow Yoga at Down Dog Yoga Studio in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. Cristina holds a 200-hour affiliation through Yoga Alliance. Cristina is a student of the form of classical Indian dance called Bharatha Natyam, a style of dance that incorporates intricate footwork, statuesque poses and elaborate hand gestures (mudras) in order to tell stories from the rich body of Hindu and Indian mythology. Cristina has performed extensively in Maryland and Pennsylvania for such venues as the India Day Festival, the Maryland State Arts Council and cultural programs at local schools and temples. Cristina holds a Bachelors Degree in Philosophy and Literature from Mount Saint Mary's College and a Masters Degree from Johns Hopkins University. Moving meditation, dance/art as devotion, poetry and spending time with her dog, Bandit and two cats, Merlin and Matilda, are among Cristina's many interests.
